Director Melina Matsoukas partnered with Howard University and Instagram to help amplify and support the stories of aspiring Black storytellers through the newly launched Instagram x Share Black Stories “Future First” Reels Challenge during Black History Month
The campaign gave each student a $10,000 production stipend to support costs associated with the creation of their work and the opportunity to have their content earmarked for sharing across Instagram and other channels on the platform, providing broad reach to the platform’s digital audience.
At Slug Global, I provided brand development + creative design/art direction for the full campaign. I insured the creative strategy was given and maintained throughout project. The executed assets were announcement video, flyers, influencer merch box, sticker pack and AI filters. I overseen copywriting, panel script and video directing for Culture Con's 2021 virtual conference. Overall, I performed research and curation of the theme. I prepared daily stand up meetings to present creative ideas with various options to the marketing team throughout mood boards and designed content to reach Black Gen-Z users.
