I collaborated with The New York Times to create artwork for a piece by historian Tiya Miles on the significance of "hidden" Juneteenths, which evolve locally in towns, cities and communities you might not expect. This illustration, shared on Juneteenth and featured in the printed newspaper, highlights the evolution of local celebrations in unexpected communities.
